How to edit payment terms

For Owners:

Edit the rent terms via your Cubbi Dashboard...

Cubbi deducts the rent on the day it's due as per the lease. If you want to change the payment terms, for example:

  • The day rent is due
  • Frequency of payments
  • Rent reduction (or free rent period) or increase (by agreement - learn more)

Follow the steps below:

Login to Cubbi here

Select the tenancy and navigate to the Lease page on your Cubbi Dashboard (quick tip: if on mobile click the three dots to get the drop-down menu).

Edit payment terms

On the Lease page, click 'Edit', under the 'Rent' heading complete the form by following the prompts.

Review & Sign

You'll be sent an email from Cubbi to review and then sign a change of terms agreement. Once signed, it'll be sent to your Tenants to sign.

Allow up to 2 business days for the agreement to be created and sent to you for signing.

Your changes will take effect

Once the agreement is fully signed, Cubbi is updated to reflect the change in rent terms.

It's also worth noting you can increase the rent as a forced change based on your legal rights (as a Landord) that does not require mutual agreement however depending on the location of the rental property you need to give a tenant notice of a rent increase. You can action this inside the 'Lease' tab in your Cubbi dashboard and select 'Increase' .
