Add or Update Bank Balances in Your Application
If you’d like Cubbi (and the Homeowner) to take into account your current savings, you can add or update your Bank Balances in your application. This step is optional but can help you stand out—especially if your income alone doesn't meet the rent-to-income ratio.
Adding proof of savings can help your application stand out and show you’re financially ready to rent—especially in situations like:
- 🏡 High competition – There were lots of people at the inspection
- 💰 Lower income – Your household income is less than 3 times the rent
- 🧑💼 Career transition – You’re new to the workforce, a student, or between jobs
- ✅ Proving responsibility – You want to show that you manage your money well
Even if your income doesn’t tick every box, showing your savings can make a big difference.
How to add or edit Bank Balances
Click here to log into your dashboard
Use your email and password to access your Cubbi dashboard.
Navigate to your application
Go to the NextHome section in your dashboard and select the property you’ve applied for (e.g. “25 Sample Rd”).
Click into your Profile
This is where you’ll see what’s already been completed and what can be added.
Click Bank balances
You’ll find this under the “Stand out” section of your profile.
Add or edit a bank balance
Upload your proof of savings — a PDF from your bank showing your current account balance.
- It must be no older than 30 days (ideally from the last 7 days)
- Do not upload your full transaction history — just a clean summary showing your balance
- The PDF must be downloaded directly from your banking app or online banking
How to download a PDF from your bank app
While this may vary slightly depending on your bank, here’s a general guide:
Open your banking app or internet banking
Go to the account where your savings are held
Find an option to export or download a statement
- Look for options like “Export”, “Download PDF”, or “View Statement”
- Save the document to your device and upload it to your Cubbi application
If your bank does not offer this via the app, try logging in on a computer browser or call your bank for help.
Reminder
✅ Use the Bank balances section in your profile
✅ Upload only proof of savings, not your full transactions
✅ Make sure the document is:
- In PDF format
- Dated within the last 7 days
- No more than 30 days old
