Screening - ID Verification

If you have Shortlisted an application for professional screening we use Stripe Identity for thorough Identity verification. Know who you're renting to and have the required identity information for any insurance, debt recovery, or legal action if things go wrong.

A Stripe Identity Check requires renters to take a picture of their Drivers Licence or Passport to verify the authenticity of ID documents followed by matching the photo ID with a selfie. You can learn more here.

Protecting you from identity fraud so you can be confident a prospective tenant is who they say they are. Renters applying with fake ID are hiding something (or from someone) with good reason. Verified ID is also required if you ever needed to take legal or recovery action.

What the status means next to each applicant:

Pending: applicant has not completed Stipe Identity Check and is no verified in Cubbi

Unverified: applicant has completed Stripe Identity Check and has come back come back unsuccessful (unable to verify their identity)

Verified: applicant has completed Stripe Identity Check and is verified in Cubbi
