Christmas and New Year operating period (25/26)
Over the 2025 and 2026 Christmas and New Year period, Cubbi the platform will continue to operate as normal. However, you may notice some minor delays in customer support that require human input.
Cubbi does not officially close over the Christmas period. Our last full business day will be Tuesday 23 December 2025, and we will be back to normal operations from Monday 5 January 2026.
The reduced support period applies from Wednesday 24 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, during which some tasks that require human input may take slightly longer.
During this period, expect the following changes. Everything else will operate as normal.
Customer support
- Phone support and scheduled calls will be unavailable during this period
- Support will be provided via email and SMS
- Most messages will still be responded to promptly, however more complex requests may take slightly longer due to reduced staffing and public holidays
The Cubbi platform and its automations will continue to operate as normal throughout this time.
Advertising
No change.
You can advertise, manage your listing, and respond to enquiries as usual.
Professional screening
Please allow the usual 2 business days for professional screening to be completed.
There are several public holidays during this period, and the most common cause of delay is contacting references, particularly property managers providing rental references, who are often unavailable over Christmas and New Year.
Other operational delays
To avoid over promising during the holiday period, some tasks that require human input may take up to 1 additional business day to complete. This may include:
- Rent estimates
- Lease renewals and rent increases
- Formal late rent notices
- Balance to vacate calculations at the end of a tenancy
Late rent notifications
Due to public holidays and weekends, some rent payments may take longer than usual to reach Cubbi during this period. This is especially common for BPAY payments and some renters still using the older Direct Debit system, as payments are not processed on public holidays.
To avoid unnecessary or confusing reminders, automated late rent notifications for renters who are 1 to 5 days late will be turned off from Wednesday 24 December 2025 to Monday 5 January 2026.
This does not affect rent collection, owner payouts, reporting, or arrears tracking. Rent obligations still apply as normal, and automated notifications will resume from Monday 5 January 2026.
Platform access and self service
The Cubbi platform remains fully available throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
Owners can continue to manage their property, listings, applications, and tenancy tasks directly through the platform as usual.
