Payment Preferences
Payment Preferences gives you total flexibility on how you receive rental income and how you pay property bills.
You have Payment Preferences at two levels:
- For each property - 🏠 Property Payment Preferences
- At the user level (you) - 🧑🏽 My Payment Preferences
🏠 Property Payment Preferences
For properties with multiple owners, it’s like the traffic controller - choose who receives the rental income (payouts) and who’s paying the bills for the property.
When you first add a property into Cubbi, by default:
✔ Rent gets paid into your Payout bank account
✔ Bills get paid from your Payment Method
However if you own the property with others the property preferences allows you to:
✔ Choose who receives the rental income
✔ Assign who pays property bills
You’re in control and can change these settings anytime.
Each owner of the property has access to these settings.
🧑🏽 My Payment Preferences
These are only viewable and controlled by you. No one else.
If you are assigned to Payments or Payouts for your property, you will need to add a Payment Method and Payout Method in your Payment Preferences.
- Add a default Payment Method - so you can pay property bills.
- Add a default Payout Method - so you can receive rental income into your bank account.
Routing Rules
Within your Payment Preferences you can route rental income to different bank accounts per property by creating Routing Rules. Learn more
