How to Export a Rental Application

For owners: If you'd like to keep a copy of a rental application, here’s how to manually export everything you may need. While Cubbi doesn’t currently offer a one-click export option, this quick workaround will help you save the key details.


We recommend doing this only for approved applications that were approved outside of Cubbi, as they may be useful later for tribunal hearings or insurance claims.

✅ If you’ve approved the application within Cubbi, there’s no need to save a separate copy — Cubbi automatically stores it for future reference if ever required.

⚠️ Important: For properties in SA, NSW, and QLD, Cubbi automatically deletes unsuccessful applications after 90 days to comply with state privacy laws. If you do not approve an application in Cubbi and instead approve them outside of Cubbi, it will be deleted and no longer accessible after this time. Learn more

📄 1. Save the Application Overview as a PDF

  1. Open the Rental Application in your browser.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the page (or go to your browser menu) and select:
    • "Print..." or press Ctrl + P (Windows) / Command + P (Mac).
  3. In the print dialog:
    • Change the Destination or Printer to "Save as PDF".
    • Click "Save" and choose a location on your computer.

🧠 Tip: This PDF includes an overview of the application, including applicant summary and any Cubbi screening notes. If Cubbi has made recommendations (comments), we suggest opening those dropdowns before printing to ensure they appear in your PDF.

👤 2. Save Each Applicant’s Profile as a PDF

  1. From the application page, click on the name of each renter to view their Profile.
  2. Follow the same Print > Save as PDF steps as above.
  3. If applicable, do the same for each Pet Profile.

You may like to repeat this step for each Pet's Profile.


📎 Optional: You can also download supporting documents (e.g. payslips), but we recommend not storing personal documents unless required.

If Cubbi conducted the screening, you’ll already see notes verifying key information, which is sufficient for insurance and compliance purposes.

📦 Optional: Zip All Files Together

If you want to keep everything in one package:

  1. On your computer, select all the files you saved (PDFs + documents).

    Right-click and choose:

    • "Compress" or "Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder".
  2. This creates a single .zip file you can easily store or share.

✅ You’re Done!

You now have a complete export of the rental application.
